For the second straight year, the Heat are NBC Midwest Regional and Jayhawk League Champions, again qualifying for the NBC National Tournament which begins this weekend.  Heat General Manager Jim Agne was pleased with both accomp0lishmets, as he and head coach Rick Twyman had put pressure on themselves to again gain both championships as a tribute to Dick “Chief” Twyman, Rick’s father and Heat co-owner who passed away during the off season.  “This season was for Cheif” said agne.  “We knew we needed to win those again for him.”
